Elber Guzman, a Colombian farmer, saw a little kitten on the side of the road and felt he had to assist her
She seemed to be a stray kitten that had been abandoned or separated from her family because she was all alone.
Guzman carried the kitten home, but it wasn’t long before he realized that this ‘kitten’ wasn’t behaving like a typical house cat. Elber suspected that something was wrong, so he contacted the environmental agency in his area.
Elber’s rescued kitten turned out to be a newborn cougar rather than a cat! It was easy for Elber to believe that because the cat was so young and looked so much like a cat.
They agreed to pick up the cougar and give her a vet examination before transporting her to their rescue center, where she will be properly cared for.
