The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust also announced the rescue of the newborn elephant Kinyei in the caption. A party on a game drive three years ago noticed the young elephant strolling near to the pride of lions, they said.
“Three years ago, a group of people on a game drive saw a baby elephant straying dangerously near to a pride of lions. She was alone, and she would have been easy prey for the lions as soon as they felt obliged. “Fortunately, fate intervened, and little Kinyei is now illuminating our lives,” one section of the caption says.
