A hilarious interview has seen Erling Haaland swear twice on live TV, as the Manchester City striker adjusts to life in the Premier League, and also the language.
Manchester City’s new hero Erling Haaland may have already hit the ground running in the Premier League, but his interviews still need a bit of work after the Norwegian swore twice while live on air.
Haaland was interviewed by Sky Sports’ Geoff Shreeves after scoring both of City’s goals in a 2-0 win against West Ham, but his chat took a turn when he accidentally swore on live TV. Haaland is known for being a character in interviews following his time at Borussia Dortmund, and he’s already started to cause chaos in England.
The City striker swore when speaking with regret for not scoring more goals, and was told off by Shreeves as the reporter told to “mind the language”. But then Haaland swore again when apologising for using the expletive words.
Haaland’s interview was going so well, as he said in the build-up to his blunder: “Yeah it’s good to get some minutes in the legs as it’s still early in the season. As expected with the games against Bayern and Liverpool we were a bit down but it will come.
“The passes will come, it should have been more today. I could’ve scored (hat-trick) before I went off, a bit s*** but it is what it is.” Shreeves was clearly stunned and said “steady with the language”, which led to Haaland swearing again when realising his mistake.
Haaland then apologised and claimed “he forgot about the language” as he completed his first Premier League post-match interview in English. The rules in other countries are slightly different, especially with the use of other languages.
Jamie Carragher once found pleasure swearing live on air for Danish TV as he was allowed to say the word “s***” during an interview. But Haaland will soon learn that he cannot get away with it in England.

Haaland won’t care too much about his language though, as the Norwegian is ready to let his football do the talking. The new City star was devastating against West Ham, and almost won the game on his own.
His burst of pace won a penalty in the first half, and the striker took the spot kick himself as he opened his Premier League account. And after half time he latched on to Kevin De Bruyne’s pass to double his tally.
Haaland could have had a hat-trick, as two headers went wide, but he was taken off for fellow star Julian Alvarez in the second half. His father Alf-Inge was in attendance to watch his son in action, and will be extremely proud of his performance after a poor showing in the Community Shield.
The striker was ridiculed by rival fans for missing from point blank range during City’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, but the rest of the Premier League is now braced for an onslaught with Haaland already firing. Haaland is now the joint Premier League top scorer after the opening weekend, with Pascal Gross also sat on two.
