Gazelles are nature’s wonderful creators. Only the majestic Cheetah can outrun them in speed. Until one species outlives the other in the battle for survival, the gazelle and cheetah coexist.
A cheetah can run at 60 miles per hour, compared to a gazelle’s average speed of 45 miles per hour.
Due to the predator’s rapid strike, the prey has no chance against him. However, there are instances where the gazelle succeeds and manages to flee.
A cheetah is a small cat that moves more quickly and with longer strides. Although they may produce energy quickly, they can also lose it quickly. Only 400 yards can be covered at full speed by a cheetah.
Large African deer known as gazelles have elastic recoil that allows them to store and release energy. They walk with shorter steps and a slower speed. They have remarkable endurance and can run at peak speed for 5468 yards (5 km). That is a far greater distance than the cheetah. Due to their elastic recoil, gazelles can also shift directions quickly and easily. Gazelles can therefore avoid predators even though they are slower than cheetahs.
