Adult golden eagles can measure more than 3.5 feet from beak to tail and have wingspans up to 8 feet.
The birds weigh an average of 7 to 12 pounds and are about the size of a newborn lamb. Its grip force is stronger than a lion’s jaws, at roughly 750 pounds per square inch.
Golden eagles are the most widely distributed species of eagle, and they may be found all over North America, Eurasia, and parts of northern Africa. The Northern Hemisphere is where they originate. These awful flying ᴋɪʟʟers have miles-long vision and the ability to soar thousands of feet in the air.
Golden eagles use an amazing ʜᴜɴᴛing technique to take down the Chamois, a mountain goat endemic to Europe and related to antelope. These eagles will drag a mountain goat off a cliff using their tremendous grip power and dig their talons into the animal’s back, ᴋɪʟʟing it with the force of gravity.
If they can manage to do enough to make the goat lose balance at that height, it’s already over. It is both brilliant and successful.
Let’s watch how eagle ʜᴜɴᴛ mountain goats on cliff in the video below:
