The NBA’s competition in recent seasons was about evenly split between the Western and Eastern Conferences.
Both conferences were home to some big-name superstars, and as a result, there were genuinely many contenders to win the NBA Championship.
But the balance of power has started to change following two blockbuster trades. First, Kyrie Irving getting shipped to the Dallas Mavericks to form a superstar duo with Luka Doncic. Second, Kevin Durant’s unbelievable trade to the Phoenix Suns.
LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Nikola Jokic, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Steph Curry, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Zion Williamson, Damian Lillard, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, + more are all in the Western Conference…

As mentioned in the above-attached tweet, the West is officially more stacked than the East, as of now. Having the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and more in the same conference is a dream come true for NBA fans. After all, they will be able to see more matchups between these superstars if they stay in the same conference.
There Will Be A Bloodbath In The Western Conference
For fans, having so many superstars in the league is a dream come true. But at the same time, it makes equally hard to predict which teams will advance for the postseason, and ultimately, one of them will represent the conference in the 2022-23 NBA Finals.
Will it be the partnership of Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton? The duo of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic? LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the Lakers to a miraculous comeback? Or will Stephen Curry help the Warriors defend their title?
Well, there are simply too many possibilities. All things considered, one thing is promised – the fans will be entertained for the remainder of the 2022-23 NBA season. As an NBA fan, watching the playoffs will be incredibly interesting for sure.
