Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is often lauded for his pace on the pitch, but the shamed Arsenal striker clearly has a need for speed off it, too.
The Gabonese forward saw his Gunners contract terminated earlier in the year following a high-profile dispute with manager Mikel Arteta before agreeing to take a whopping wage cut in order to join Barcelona. However, his current pay packet of a reported £160,000-per-week means the 32-year-old’s £3.9million car collection costs more than his contract with Chelsea.
That’s according to Vanarama, who have crunched the data to compare the weekly earnings of some of the beautiful game’s most iconic footballers with the cost of their gargantuan garages. With that in mind, Daily Star Sport takes a closer look at Aubameyang’s frankly astonishing collection of cars.
The Chelsea forward isn’t shy when it comes to sharing snaps of his outrageous automobiles and often takes to Instagram to show off his insane selection. Auba’s most eye-catching cars? Arguably his assortment of Lamborghinis.
One upload of showed four Lambos parked outside his stunning mansion – two Urus 4x4s, an Aventador and Huracan Spyder, customised with chrome and gold colours. And that’s not all, the quartet were positioned alongside Aubameyang’s luxurious LaFerrari – one of only 499 ever made.
That purchase alone set the striker back a staggering £2million and is easily one of the most stunning in his selection, which is thought to contain upward of 12 cars. As well as all those, Auba owns a Porsche Panamera Turbo Techart worth £140k, a Range Rover Sport thought to cost £150k, an Audi R8 V10 valued at £160k and a gorgeous Aston Martin DB9 Volante 2, worth a mammoth quarter of a million pounds.

The former Arsenal attacker has also been spotted in a snazzy white Bentley Bentayga, likely to cost in excess of £133,000. However, it isn’t just extortionate cars the Barca baller boasts: he was once spied getting around in a Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet, worth a far more meagre £22,000.

It appears ever since he was a boy of more modest beginnings, Aubameyang had an eye for automobiles. According to MARCA, the striker has previously admitted, “When I was a kid, if I didn’t play football I played with cars, that’s all.
“I inherited the passion of my father, who at that time had a red and very beautiful Audi Quattro.”

Aubameyang would later follow in his father’s footsteps by owning an Audi of his own – a car the striker would later sell much to his regret. Opening up on his vast car collection, which began in 2010, Aubameyang said in a 2019 Instragram post: “It was my favourite car and it was the first one I owned.
“I kept it for a long time, I regret selling it. I had also customised it by adding an R8 kit and butterfly wing doors.”
The FA Cup winner also admitted he enjoys customising his many cars in order to express his creativity and bold personality. He added: “Customisation represents much more than 50 percent [of the car]. It’s very important because that’s what makes your personality stand out.

“Personally, I like brilliant things. I have cars in really different colours that are very bright. I’m a creator on the field, but sometimes you also need to be a creator outside. I use the gold colours because I like to stand out, it’s part of the customisation.”
Despite already possessing an extraordinary assortment of cars that most of us can only dream of, it appears Aubameyang isn’t finishing adding to his fleet just yet. The former Gunner skipper said: “I don’t think my collection is complete.
“There are two cars I really love: the Pagani Zonda and the Koenigsegg. My goal is to have them in my collection.”
