Elephants usually often be seen ambling gently around the African plains, but this young elephant was anxious to hurry up his daily stroll as he showed off his breakdancing abilities. Photographer Graeme Mitchley, 43, from Sᴏᴜᴛʜ Aғʀɪᴄᴀ captured the calf’s outstanding performance in the Kruger National Park.
The infant, who was part of a herd moving on the main road to the Lower Sabie rest camp, was not amused to encounter Mr. Mitchley and attempted to ғʀɪɢʜᴛᴇɴ him with his floor-filling movements.
According to Mr. Mitchley, the elephant did keep him entertained throughout his entire journey. It seemed to be performing a mini-dance for him. The route was narrow and full of other tourists, yet despite this, he could tell the elephant wasn’t amused by his presence.
Several times the baby elephant tried to ғʀɪɢʜᴛᴇɴ him. If it had been a more experienced elephant, he would have undoubtedly departed. Instead of biting, these juvenile elephants flapped their ears and shook their heads.
The elephant’s behavior was intriguing, but Mr. Mitchley wasn’t sure if he was being persuaded to sit on him. The amusing collection of photos was taken on the H4-1, a road that connects Lower Sabie and Skukuza, two of the park’s main camps and one of the continent’s largest game reserves, in the Kruger National Park.
