They’re the Byron Bay golden couple who threw yet another lavish shindig alongside their celebrity pals over the weekend.
But fans across the globe have grown pretty jealous of Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky’s partying – especially as the Covid-19 pandemic rages around the world.
After the Thor actor, 37, and his wife, 44, threw a ‘white party’ with all their pals on Saturday, people flocked to social media to share their envy that so many could gather together while other countries remain in lockdown.
‘Must be great to live in a country that doesn’t have Covid anymore. Brazil is so distant from that reality,’ one fan wrote.
‘Looks like so much fun. So jealous you get to hang out with your best friends, in Ontario, Canada, we cannot even hang out with people outside our household – praying for things to go back to the way it use to be,’ another added.
‘One question, in Australia there is no pandemic? If so, I’ll emigrate,’ a third added, while a fourth wrote: ‘It’s as if Covid is a thing of the past. No masks. No safe distancing. Must be a relief.’
‘I feel like half her posts need a disclaimer to remind people that Australia has been done with Covid for a while. THEY ARE LIVING A DIFFERENT LIFE!’ another chimed in.
Indeed, while Australia did have lockdowns last year, most restrictions across all states and territories have been lifted in recent months.
Up to 100 visitors are allowed in households in New South Wales, while up to 200 can gather in an outdoor public space and there are no restrictions on dancing and singing at venues.
The Hemsworths certainly made the most of their freedom, donning all-white attire as they danced the night away at Saturday’s party – with a guestlist that also included Hollywood star Matt Damon and Liam’s model girlfriend Gabriella Brooks.
Elsa shared a video of herself and Chris playfully dancing down the footpath together as they arrived at the exclusive soirée.
‘With those dance moves how could I say no! #whiteparty,’ she wrote in the caption.
Elsa looked absolutely stunning in an off-white blazer with flared pants and heels.
She tied her brunette locks into a messy ponytail and added a touch of sparkle to her look by applying glitter to her temples.
Chris wore a similar ensemble complete with a white T-shirt and pair of Converse sneakers.
Elsewhere, Gabriella, who has been dating Liam for over a year, looked gorgeous in a cleavage-enhancing white dress with shimmering glitter dotted on her skin.
The model shared a video of herself dancing at the event, throwing her arms in the air as she enjoyed an evening with her other half.
Matt Damon, who is in Australia after joining the cast of Thor alongside Chris, was spotted in a white hoodie and chinos posing for photos with the gang.
Also in attendance was Luke Hemsworth’s gorgeous wife Samantha, Matt Damon’s wife Luciana Barroso, TV personality Lauren Phillips, Chris’ personal trainer Luke Zocchi, and Chris’ stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton.
‘Fun white party with our best friends and so happy to have @theteskeybrothers with us!’ she wrote on Instagram.
An Instagram post uploaded by a guest suggests the party was hosted by American model and presenter Michele Merkin, who is based in Byron Bay.
In one Instagram photo taken inside the event, Elsa and Chris were seen cuddling on the dance floor while watching The Teskey Brothers perform.
In another snap, Elsa posed with female guests, several of whom wore white wigs.
The lavish, marble-floored venue was festooned with white décor, including large balloon garlands, candles, ottomans and faux trees covered in white flowers.
Even the drinks were coloured to fit the theme, with guests sipping cloudy white beverages as they mingled.
At the back of the room were large, white marquee letters that spelled the word ‘MAYDAY’ – presumably referencing the fact the party took place at the start of May.
