Hailey Bieber said she wants to put an end to the rumors of her feud with Selena Gomez.

American model and social media influencer Hailey Bieber thanked actress Selena Gomez on her Instagram Stories for stepping in to help her from the hate and death threats she has been receiving on social media.

The wife of Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Bieber revealed that she has been talking with Selena for the past few weeks to help resolve the rumors that they have been fighting one another.

Selena and Hailey have been hot topics on social media for the past few weeks after netizens believed the latter “shaded” the actress in an Instagram story. Both parties have denied the speculations and have appealed to them to stop further fueling hate online.

“I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing [for] the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I. The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful,” she wrote.

The 26-year-old celebrity added in her Instagram Stories that things could always be taken out of context than they were intended to be. She also urged everyone who viewed her story to be more empathetic and thoughtful in their posts on social media.

“While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together. Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended,” she continued.

“We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion,” she said.

Selena previously dated Hailey’s husband, Justin Bieber. Dubbed Jelena by fans, Justin and Selena’s relationship in the past had been on and off as they dated between 2010 and 2018.

Meanwhile, Hailey and Justin got married back in 2018.
