Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, two big names in the Hollywood industry have delivered some amazing movies together. Fans love watching them together, not just on-screen, but off-camera as well.

Their phenomenal chemistry never fails to leave everyone in awe. But even, after giving several hits with his best buddy Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson once chose another actor when it comes to better chemistry.

Dwayne Johnson claims to have better chemistry with another co-star

A few years ago, Dwayne Johnson appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about his movie ‘Hobbs and Shaw’. There the interviewer asked him about how he managed to perfectly balance comedy and action in the movie.

To this Dwayne simply credited his chemistry with the co-actor Jason Statham. He said that in Hollywood, you can have chemistry with an actor, but you won’t be able to figure out how it turns out on the big screen, however, with Statham, things went amazingly.

Johnson also mentioned that he and Jason have a unique chemistry that they didn’t realize in Fast and Furious 8, but it blossomed and they end up with a new project that was ‘Hobbs and Shaw’.

Talking to the host, Dwayne Johnson said, “Well let’s just talk in Hollywood terms, you can have an actor, you can have chemistry with an actor but you don’t know if that’s gonna transition into something appealing to the big screen. So with myself and Jason Statham, we have this really unique chemistry, that unbeknownst us didn’t know happened in Fast and Furious 8, it blossomed and it exploded and then we were able to go and make Hobbs and Shaw.”

A quick run down to the times when Dwayne and Jason shared the screen

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham have worked in four movies together. All of them are from the Fast and Furious franchise.

The first one was Fast and Furious 6 alongside another Hollywood star Vin Diesel. Fans loved them in Fast and Furious 8 so much that they both got a separate movie entirely dedicated to their character ‘Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw’ in 2019. Dwayne loved his character in the car racing franchise that he even named his pet dog after it.
