It happened: Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are officially back together. Us Weekly reports that the on-and-off couple have rekindled their romance again, three years after their last breakup.
“Selena and Justin are back together,” a source told the site. “Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably — it wasn’t dramatic and it wasn’t about Justin. But Selena always had feelings for Justin. Her friends want her to be cautious because she has been in such a good place post-surgery.”
News of Jelena’s revival comes less than a week after it was reported that Gomez and The Weeknd broke up after 10 months together. She was seen hanging out with Bieber shortly before and after the breakup news hit, but sources say the Purpose singer wasn’t a factor in her recent split.
Gomez, 25, and Bieber, 23, reportedly got back in touch “a couple months after” she underwent a kidney transplant surgery over the summer. The pair reconnected through mutual friends and had seen each other at church. However, the buzz surrounding the former couple didn’t escalate until Bieber was seen visiting her house for a get-together with friends at the end of October. Selena was still dating The Weeknd at the time.

A week later, Beiber and Gomez spent an entire day together and were seen getting breakfast, attending church, and hanging out at Gomez’s house again. The following day, news broke of Selena and The Weeknd’s split. According to People, Bieber was happy over Gomez’s new single status. “He hopes to regain her trust so they can get back together,” said a source.

Since then, Jelena’s public appearances have continued. They took bike rides together and appeared to get close and cozy in the last few days. Gomez even supported Bieber at his hockey game yesterday, and was seen exiting the venue with him wearing his jersey.
It goes without saying that these two have a lot of history—they were first rumored to be dating in 2010, and dated on and off until 2014. After a 3-year break, it seems like they’re ready to give their relationship another try. Bieber and Gomez have not yet commented on their rumored dating status yet, but we’ll be patiently waiting for one of them to drop a hint on social media.
