The Golden State Warriors backcourt duo made more NBA history Steph Curry is the undisputed greatest shooter in NBA history, and Klay Thompson is probably second. There are other shooters who have a case for second-best, but if Thompson hadn’t missed two full seasons, he would be the clear-cut second best shooter in NBA history, and probably still is. In Tuesday night’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans, Steph Curry splashed his 250th three of the season, joining Thompson as one of just three players to make at least 250 threes this season. This is the third time that both Curry and Thompson have made at least 250 threes in the same season, which is something no other pair of teammates has done.
The undisputed best shooting duo of all time, the Splash Brothers continue to make history with their incredible three point shooting. Both over 40% from deep on the season as well, Curry and Thompson don’t just get them up at a high rate, but they make them at a very efficient clip as well. It was a statement win for the Warriors against the Pelicans on Tuesday, as they overcame a large deficit to win a game they really needed. Steph Curry was the player of the game, pouring in 38 points for Golden State on the way to a big-time victory. Making a bit of history in the process with his 250th three of the season, Curry joined Thompson in the 250 made threes club this season.
