D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves’ signature handshake is quirky and cold at the same time.
The guards played their part in the Los Angeles Lakers blowout 121-110 win over the Chicago Bulls, and one of the instances during the clash saw the duo bring out their handshake that also included a “too small” gesture in the end.
You can watch the move below:
Reaves and Russell had every reason to rock that shake as the Lakers avenged their first-game loss to the Bulls in emphatic fashion. Anthony Davis exploded for 38 points as LA evened the two-game series between the two teams.
The pair did well, with Reaves contributing with 19 points, while Russell had 17 to his name. LeBron James notched up 25 points to help the Lakers get to 38-38 and eighth on the Western Conference standings.
Austin Reaves Stuns Patrick Beverley With The ‘Too Small’ Celebration
Austin Reaves is spunky, and he’s not one to forget. So when he got a chance to rub Patrick Beverley with a dose of his own medicine, he did so in front of the former’s home crowd.
After getting the better of his former Lakers teammate, Reaves brought out the ‘two small’ gesture to Beverley, who in the previous game had done it to James. It was payback, and the guard later reflected on his move.
“He did it last time we played, to Bron. It wasn’t something I thought about doing all game. But I felt like [it was the] right time, right situation. Like you said, me and Pat got a good relationship. I respect him. It’s just me competing,” the guard explained.
Reaves has been one of the more outstanding players for the Lakers this season. His recent string of performances has seen him nail a spot in the starting five, and the Lakers are surely benefiting from it. Only time will tell if he can carry on his good run of form.
