MANCHESTER CITY star Ruben Dias’ stunning ex-girlfriend has appeared to lay bare her feelings about the end of their relationship – and hint she wants to get back with him – in her new song.
Pretty singer April Ivy opened up following the shock end to their relationship in single ‘Broken Apologies’.
Dias and Ivy separated earlier this year
Ivy moved out of their Manchester home and relocated to London
The brunette is now based in London after leaving the home she shared in Manchester with Dias.
Reports the footballer had called time on his three-year relationship with his girlfriend surfaced in September after their summer holiday together in Greece.
April, real name Mariana Goncalves, wrote on social media as she released the single on Friday: “It was the hardest song I’ve written and had to record so far.
“I wrote it in my room at the end of the summer and I waited till now when I felt prepared to go public with my feelings so openly.”
‘Broken Apologies’ opens with the words: “I tried to give you what you neededBut you didn’t see I tried.
“In my mind I can’t find a reason for you to leave us both behind.”
It continues, suggesting April is keen to get back with her ex: “So I’m sorry I gave you all my love, sorry I didn’t mess this up, sorry that I wasn’t enough for you.
“So I’m sorry I give my world for you but when you’re in love that’s what you do. I’m hoping you hear this and forgive me.”
Ivy has over 200,000 followers on Instagram
Dias’ ex Ivy is a successful musician
In an apparent warning to the women looking to take her place she added: “My love check your pockets ‘cos some of these girls won’t care about you at all.”
Portuguese media reported in September the couple ‘separated’ because of their lifestyle differences, with £64 million man Dias being ‘more discreet’ than ‘exuberant’ April according to weekly celeb magazine FLASH!
There has been no official comment from the Portuguese pair, who started dating at the end of 2018 and went public with their relationship on New Years Day 2019.
Stunning April, 22, moved to London ahead of the coronavirus lockdown to make her name in the music world before Dias signed for Man City from Benfica in September 2020.
The beauty had already made a name for herself in her homeland after a song she composed and performed called ‘Be Ok’ reaching the top of the national radio airplay list.
