Little Maxwell Alexander couldn’t wait to come into this world. In fact, his mother, Jess Hogan, ʙᴀʀᴇʟʏ made it to the ᴇᴍᴇʀɢᴇɴᴄʏ ʀᴏᴏᴍ at Via Christi Health in Manhattan, Kansas, on July 24, 2017, before Maxwell was delivered in the hallway.
“We ʙᴀʀᴇʟʏ got through the door. I told Travis the kid was coming and he had to ᴄᴀᴛᴄʜ him,” Hogan said in a story published on the Love What Matters site. “He looked and realized I was right. I could feel the baby’s ʜᴇᴀᴅ on my hand, and Travis immediately ʀᴇᴀᴄʜᴇᴅ ᴏᴜᴛ.”
She continued: “I only sᴛʀᴀɪɴᴇᴅ once more and my ʙᴏᴅʏ did the ʀᴇsᴛ. And there he was, in the middle of the hospital floor.”
In the hospital, it only took 5 minutes for this mother to give birth. Maxwell is Jessa’s sixth child and first boy. A photographer for Little Leapling was able to capture Maxwell’s ᴇɴᴛɪʀᴇ ʙɪʀᴛʜ and a video ᴄᴏᴍᴘɪʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴ was put together showing the birth from start to finish.
“It’s ɪɴᴅᴇsᴄʀɪʙᴀʙʟʏ wonderful that I can watch it all again without vague memories of what happened, but I could see everything exactly as it happened,” said the overjoyed mother. “It was something wonderful and something that will remain in my heart for life”.
Jess described Jeff as a wonderful father and husband and said she couldn’t have done it without him.
