Vin Diesel‘s stunt double was pictured filming a high-octane chase scene along The Mall outside Buckingham Palace in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Bearing a striking resemblance to the screen star, the performer sped across the royal grounds in a flashy Noble M600 sports car – worth a whopping £150,000 – as roads by the residence closed down for filming.
Crew members returned to work on the forthcoming sequel nearly two months after a body double was left fighting for life after falling 30 ft on the set of the action movie.

The actor sported an all-black ensemble for his portrayal as Vin’s character Dominic Toretto – a former criminal and retired street racer.
Opting for a typically edgy display, the body double rocked a leather biker jacket, baggy trousers and canvas trainers.
The hunk appeared in his element as he took the vehicle out for a spin, moments before the cars drew to a halt in order to be wired for sound.

Earlier this year it was revealed wrestler-turned-actor John Cena officially joined the cast.

There’s no word yet on John’s character, but a Universal press release calls his character ‘a bada**.’
The WWE star may fill a void left by series recruit Dwayne Johnson, who first appeared in 2011’s Fast Five and became a major component of the series.
Vin’s other stunt double Joe Watts was placed in an induced coma after plunging 30ft onto his head on the set of the film back in July.
Sources told MailOnline the stunt performer, 31, was injured on the film set at the Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.

Vin was said to be ‘choking back tears’ after witnessing the worker fall on his head as he performed a stunt in the movie star’s place.
Filming on the ninth installment of the franchise was halted after a safety cable reportedly snapped as he jumped off a balcony on set and hit the ground.
Joe is a British stuntman who has worked on a series of Hollywood blockbusters, including Kingsman Golden Circle, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Spider Man Far From Home.

Last month, he thanked well-wishers for their support after being moved out of intensive care.
He is still in hospital and ‘has a long road ahead’ of him, but doctors have said they are pleased with his recovery so far.
