A VIDEO voiced by actor Chris Hemsworth went viral for Tourism Australia — so imagine what a series of happy holiday snaps might do.
THIS is one slide night everyone will want to see.
Holiday snaps of Chris Hemsworth’s family jaunt across the country are Tourism Australia’s latest honey pot in the ongoing campaign to lure more international visitors down under.
From romantic shots of the bare-chested Hollywood heart-throb and his bikini-clad wife Elsa Pataky, to happy family pics in front of Uluru, the Hemsworth holiday looks a treat.

With the help of Tourism Australia, the family ticked three distinctly different destinations off their bucket list over ten days including the Red Centre, the Kimberleys in Western Australia and Hayman Island on the Great Barrier Reef.
True to his tourism ambassador form, Hemsworth raved about the “diversity” of his homeland.
“In the Kimberley we went fishing in one particular spot that could’ve rivalled Jurassic Park (with) crocodiles, snakes, buffalo and an abundance of other amazing native wildlife,” he said.
“We also had an afternoon at Whitehaven Beach (in the Whitsundays) which was absolutely stunning. The most pristine white sand, crystal clean water. The perfect spot to just unwind surrounded by the reef.”

Tourism Australia is now counting on Hemsworth’s holiday snaps being shared with his millions of social media followers, and generating even greater exposure than the video he voiced on coastal and aquatic experiences.
“The huge profile that Chris enjoys internationally will ensure that these amazing Australian destinations, tourism products and experiences are showcased to millions,” said TA Managing Director John O’Sullivan.

State-based tourism authorities were also excited at the prospect of Hemsworth sharing his family album with the world.
“Having images of Chris enjoying and sharing Queensland’s unrivalled experiences will inspire even more people to visit the best address on earth,” said Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Leanne Coddington.
Tourism WA CEO Stephanie Buckland said the Kimberley was a place people needed to experience for themselves.
“Pictures can help sell it as a holiday destination, but nothing can compare to the ‘feeling’ of being in one of the world’s true wilderness areas — a landscape dating back two billion years with fewer people per square kilometre than almost any other place on earth,” Ms Buckland said.

The accommodation places that hosted the family were thrilled to share the Hemsworth spotlight.
“The extensive exposure of Australia’s Red Centre to a global audience is incredibly hard to obtain and we know the destination will benefit,” said Voyages indigenous Tourism CEO Andrew Williams.
One & Only Hayman Island General Manager Scott Williams said Hemsworth was a brilliant advocate for the Great Barrier Reef.
As well as scuba diving, the “Thor” actor made good use of the resort gym so he could “justify letting the diet slip”.
Figures released last week showed overseas visitors to Australia continue to grow strongly led by those from Asia and predominantly China, making international tourism a $38 billion industry.
