On the forum “Hội những người yêu chó” (Society of Dog Lovers), the account named Đặng Đình Trung posted pictures of a dog being brutally abused by a young man.
According to the post, the abuser was a roommate of the dog’s owner. The dog was beaten and had one eye severely damaged, and its life was in danger, all because it had defecated on the bed.
“I am so heartbroken, my friends! I was at work and not at home. Then my dog slipped off the leash and defecated on my roommate’s bed, and he beat my dog like this. When he sent me a text message saying he had killed my dog, I thought he was just saying that. But he actually did it,” the owner shared.
“Now I am asking my sister to take care of my dog because I haven’t been able to come home. Normally, my roommate was also affectionate towards my dog, petting and playing with it, and seemed to love dogs. But who would have thought he would beat my dog so brutally like this,” the owner of the Poodle dog wrote.
The incident has caused many people to feel outraged and condemn the cruel actions of the young man.
Đặng Đình Trung, the owner of the pitiful dog, told Zing.vn that the “four-legged friend” was at the veterinary hospital, and the situation was not optimistic. The dog was very weak and couldn’t eat much.
“The eye is still the same as the first day, no improvement. When I took it to the emergency room, the eye was even protruding out and had to be stitched up,” Trung said.
Trung said that his roommate used to tease and pet the Poodle daily, but he never thought that he would act so brutally. After beating the dog, the roommate sent an apology text message, but Trung was very angry and did not respond.
Đình Trung has been raising this Poodle dog for 8 months since it was only 3 weeks old. He considers his pet as his best friend.
The owner of the dog revealed that now every time he sees his “little friend,” he starts crying. The dog is normally very well-behaved, adorable, and obedient to its owner.
The veterinarian at the clinic where the dog is being treated said that when the Poodle was brought in, its eye was protruding so it had to be quickly stitched up. Currently, the eye is still bleeding, which is quite dangerous, and the chance of saving the eye is very rare. The clinic is monitoring the dog’s progress and waiting to perform a surgery to remove the eye if necessary.
N.H., the neighbor of the owner of the beaten dog, confirmed that she heard Trung’s pet dog screaming loudly in the room.
“At that time, I only thought that the dog was being beaten by its owner for defecating on the bed, so I didn’t dare to intervene. But I never expected to see the dog in such pain and in danger to its life. Looking at the pictures, I also feel very sorry,” H. said.
