She works HARD! Margot’s trainer, Andie Hecker, previously told People the star trained for three hours most days whilst she was filming Suicide Squad
Margot has certainly worked hard for her body, training for three hours most days whilst she was filming Suicide Squad.
Speaking about how she got into shape to rock the famously short shorts she wore in the film, her trainer, Andie Hecker, told People.com: ‘She was a total trooper. It was very satisfying to see her body change into exactly what she wanted it to look like in such a short time.’
Andie coached Margot through plenty of Pilates, ballet and ‘non-bulking cardio such as jump rope, rebounder and ballet jumps’, which Andie hails – surprisingly – the most challenging form of cardio she’s ever come across.
She also explained that the duo did lots of heavy-weighted, low reps of arabesque pulls hooked up to resistance pulleys, as well as ballet style arabesque lifts with heavy ankle weights, which apparently built up and lifted her famous bottom.
‘We also did a ton of side series outer thigh work, targeting outer glutes with high reps and low weights, to pull those muscles in and create a beautiful line from the waist to the upper thigh,’ she explained.

Meanwhile, speaking to TV Week, Margot revealed that despite starring in another one of the biggest films to come out of Hollywood last year, she didn’t see the need to slim down for the role of Jane in The Legend Of Tarzan.
Justifying her decision to skip training sessions during filming to head to London’s iconic pubs instead, the actress said she didn’t want to be too thin as Jane.
‘It’s the 19th century (in the film) – if she’s got a bit of weight on her, it’s probably a good thing.
‘I’m not going to look thin just for the sake of it.’
