Anya Taylor-Joy was pretty in pink as Chris Pratt posed up with his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger at the Los Angeles premiere of The Super Mario Bros movie in Los Angeles.
Held at the Regal LA Live, the event welcomed a cavalcade of the movie’s cast members, who modeled colors that were picked out to reflect their characters.
Chris has been cast as Mario – a move that initially provoked a ‘cultural appropriation’ furor on the internet over the fact the movie star is not in fact Italian – and gave a tip of the hat to the character at the premiere.
The 43-year-old Guardians Of The Galaxy beefcake emphasized his musclebound physique in a clinging burgundy suit that brought back memories of Mario’s red shirt and baseball cap.
He modeled the suit over a simple white dress shirt, going without a tie and leaving his top button tantalizingly undone as he beamed next to his second wife.

Meanwhile Katherine, the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, slid her enviably slender frame into a strapless black cocktail dress embroidered with intricate patterns including a cross.
Just as Chris offered a nod to Mario in his look, Anya swung by the premiere in a bubblegum pink jumpsuit that recalled the color typically worn by her character Princess Peach.
The 26-year-old actress sported a luxuriously wavy ash-blonde hairdo that was similarly reminiscent of the flaxen mane fans of Princess Peach will instantly recognize.
She teamed the skintight jumpsuit with a pair of hot pink platform boots, as well as a pair of gloves she showed off by mugging for the camera with her fists up ready to fight.
Charlie Day – who plays Luigi and was suitably dressed in green for the premiere – glowed beside his wife Mary Elizabeth Ellis, while Veep star Sam Richardson attended the shindig on the arm of his girlfriend Nicole Boyd.
Sebastian Maniscalco turned the showbiz gala into a family outing, bringing not just his wife Lana Gomez but also their children Caruso, three, and Serafina, five, who were adorably dressed as Mario and Princess Peach.
Tori Kelly slipped into a figure-hugging dress with a psychedelic print and Kevin Michael Richardson threw a loose-fitted suit over a t-shirt as Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto triumphantly raised his fist in the air.
NSYNC alumnus AJ McLean warmly placed his hands on the shoulders of his daughters Elliott, nine, and Lyric, six, whom he shares with his estranged wife Rochelle, with whom he announced his separation this week.

Seth Rogen, dressed in grey to indicate his role a Donkey Kong, enjoyed a warm embrace with Jack Black, who fully committed to his turtle monster character Bowser by wearing a jacket with a spiked back.
In one dazzling star-studded group shot to remember, Sebastian, Jack, Seth, Charlie, Anya and Chris posed up with Illumination CEO Chris Melendandri and Shigeru himself.
The movie’s directors Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath, who previously developed the Cartoon Network show Teen Titans Go!, beamed as they attended the premiere of their new picture.
With a top-flight cast that also includes Keegan Michael Key and Fred Armisen, the movie will get a wide theatrical release in the United States next Wednesday.
Pratt recently spoke about the controversy regarding his casting as Mario during an interview with Gizmodo.
During the interview, Pratt expressed that he understood that the longtime fans of the Mario franchise were particularly invested in the integrity of the character.
‘I totally get it, man. There’s a passionate fan base and I’m one of the fans. I get it. Mostly, people don’t want something like this to get screwed up. They’re precious about it. They’re careful. And I’m grateful for that,’ he said.
The Jurassic World Dominion star then remarked that he had put in his best effort to faithfully represent the Nintendo character while working on the feature.

The performer stated: ‘I care just as much as everyone else to make sure that doesn’t get screwed up.’
Day went on to elaborate on why he felt as if the Mario franchise’s fans were particularly wary about the movie’s representation of the characters.
‘In many ways, the game had taken care of people, I think, in a way that they don’t want the franchise messed up at all,’ he said.
Pratt went on to discuss his personal history with the Mario series, which began with his encounter with the original Donkey Kong arcade machine during his early years.
‘My very first memory is the arcade. And then shortly after, probably within six months to a year, the NES came out and we had one in our house and boy, yeah, the rest is history,’ he said.
