James Gunn took to Twitter to respond to these rumors and refused to comment on the casting reports. “For all of you asking, I would never comment on who is or isn’t AUDITIONING for a role,” he said, claiming that sharing such news is the actor’s business.
The Suicide Squad director also shared updates about Superman: Legacy casting and said that only one person has been cast in the film so far. He tweeted,
“For now, only one person has been CAST in Superman: Legacy and it isn’t any of the regular players in the Superman world.”
But he did not share which actor or character has been cast in the film. While Gunn refused to comment on reports, he did not deny the claims. Earlier, he declined the casting rumor of The Kissing Booth actor Jacob Elordi as Superman, saying that no one had been cast in the film as he was still working on the script.
