Workstation Cabin: A Faceted Home Office Pod

Workstation Cabin is a cool pod that can become anything – a guest bedroom, a home office, a kids’ playspace and much more and it features a creative look

Working from home is rather a common situation today but not everyone has a space for a home office in the house or apartment and sometimes it’s not very comfortable to work with other family members distracting. What to do? Install a Workstation Cabin – a multipurpose, geometric refuge designed by Budapest-based design studio Hello Wood.

The Workstation Cabin is a creative 15-sided piece that can become anything: a highly-functional office, guest room, or playroom for the kids. It’s fairly compact but has enough space inside as the walls were pushed at different angles. The interior opens up and feels much larger than it is, it’s flooded with light thanks to several skylights and windows of irregular shapes. If it’s dark, don’t worry, there are built-in lights that will be enough for working or doing anything else you like. Natural Scots pine wood and large windows create a cozy, yet light-filled space to enjoy all year long. It’s insulated, and with its built-in A/C, the structure offers a long-term solution throughout the year, no matter the weather outside. Decked out with state-of-the-art technology, the cabin has electrical outlets and internet access to keep all tech running.

The 15-sided cabin was designed on a computer so blueprints for the design can be sent to a CNC machine for easy production. As with most modular prefab structures, the cabin is built offsite and then delivered and installed in only a matter of days to limit disruption at home. Install one next to your house and enjoy your seclusion or just working without being distracted!
