It is reported that the Spanish League giants Real Madrid want to Һιjаcƙ Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate at Al Nassr, goalkeeper David Ospina.
The plan to bring Ospina to the Santiago Bernabeu is claimed to be carried out by Madrid next season, according to a report by Saudi media, Al Weeam.
The club nicknamed Los Blancos wants to strengthen the goalkeeper sector after having the main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Ospina’s contract with Al Nassr itself will expire in June 2024. To bring in the Colombian goalkeeper, Madrid can pay a transfer fee to Al Nassr.
Ospina himself was brought in by Al Nassr in July 2022 on a free transfer after his contract with Napoli expired.
So far the 34-year-old goalkeeper has played in 14 matches in all competitions with the club nicknamed Al Aalami.
However, this season the former Arsenal goalkeeper has been sidelined more because he has to go to the treatment table due to an elbow ι𝚗jᴜгy.
This transfer market looks interesting because Saudi clubs are usually targeting a number of top European stars.
Previously Al Nassr was also linked with several mainstay players for Madrid, such as Karim Benzema to Luka Modric. However, the two senior players refused to move to the Saudi Arabian Pro League. Al Nassr is also reportedly now trying to tempt PSG senior defender, Sergio Ramos, who incidentally was Cristiano Ronaldo’s former club partner when they were both at Real Madrid.
Yesterday, Real Madrid lost 0-1 as a guest at Valencia. However, the focus is on Vinicius Junior. In the match against Valencia at the Mestalla, Monday (22/5) early morning WIB, Vinicius was racially abused by the home fans.
Vinicius Junior is said to be able to leave Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2024 because of race in the Spanish League.
The signal for Vinicius to move to a club next year can be seen in the player’s upload after the match against Valencia.
In addition, quoted by Forbes based on ESPN Brasil’s report, Vinicius has submitted a move to a club when his contract expires in 2024.
Against Valencia, Vinicius was sent off after being deemed to have Һιт Hugo Duro in the 97th minute. The 22-year-old player was also furious when the home fans made racial slurs.
Vinicius pointed to a spectator in the stands who was considered racially speaking when the game was paused. Video clips on social media also show many Valencia fans shouting ‘mono’ which means monkey.
“What we saw today is unacceptable. The whole stadium shouted racist insults,” Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti told Movistar Plus.
“I don’t want to talk about football today, there is no point in talking about football today. I told the referee that he should have stopped the game,” Ancelotti added.
On that occasion Ancelotti also said that La Liga was in trouble because of racial cases that kept popping up.
“La Liga is in trouble. For me Vinicius is the most important player in the world. La Liga is in trouble, this episode of racism has to stop the game,” Ancelotti said.
