Ted Scott earned some four million dollars for assisting Scheffler to two Majors wins

Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler’s caddie got into a hilarious argument with a disgruntled fan online after revealing he earned more than Tiger Woods by helping the 28-year-old golf star to victories in The Masters.

Ted Scott raked in the big bucks by taking home $4 million in 2024 for his crucial role alongside the world number one, with $2 million coming from Scheffler’s recent victory at the Tour Championship, based on 10% of his earnings.

Incredibly, the mammoth earnings would place Scott 19th in the PGA Tour earnings including the other pro golfers as he would beat out Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Thomas and the legendary but injury-stricken Tiger Woods.

But some fans felt he was overpaid as they responded to a hilarious joke by golfer-turned-caddie, Kip Henley, as he jested online he would do Scott’s job for him for a fraction of the earnings.

Yet one fan took it too far by making it personal as they declared on X.com, formerly Twitter, “‘Caddie’ is the most overrated ‘job’ in history. There are literally 10m people in the US that could do Ted’s job.”

The caddie, who worked with Bubba Watson before partnering up with Scheffler to help direct him to 13 PGA Tour victories as well as the Masters in 2022 and 2024, was not willing to let that slide.

Scott immediately hit back in a brutal put down by saying, “Wrong. Not everyone would want to spend time with you because you’re negative and tweet mean stuff. So that leaves 9,999,999 people that could do my ‘job’.”

How much did Tiger Woods earn in 2024?
Woods only took home $34,000 for competing in one tournament through 2024 as he continues his battles against injury with retirement looming larger and larger on the horizon for the golfing great.

The 48-year-old Californian earned less than the median American salary from his efforts on the green and all of it came from his record-breaking appearance at the Masters by making the cut for the 24th time.

Otherwise it was a disappointing season as he missed the cuts for the US Open, the PGA Championship and the Open Championship as well as withdrawing from the remaining events he tried his hand at.
