Jenna Ortega shot to fame this year with her Golden Globe-nominated performance in the Netflix series, “Wednesday,” and since then, the young star has generated quite a bit of buzz about her skills as a result.
In addition to buzzing over her newest role, Ortega has also earned acclaim and fans from past work and has been keeping busy in Hollywood for a decade. With so much work under her belt despite only being 20 years old, it also begs the question- how much is she worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ortega is currently worth about $3 million. Most of that is likely tied to her various roles throughout her acting career.
Since starting to act as a child, Ortega has built an impressive portfolio. Her first big titles included roles in 2013’s “Iron Man 3” and “Insidious: Chapter 2.” She also raised her profile by portraying young Jane in 30 episodes of the series “Jane the Virgin,” from 2014-2019, as well as Harley Diaz in Disney’s “Stuck in the Middle” from 2016-2018. She is also recognizable from her role as Ellie Alves in Season 2 of the Netflix drama “You.”
She has also dabbled in voice acting and voiced the role of Princess Isabel in the Disney animated series “Elena of Avalor.”
Ortega also released a self-help book, “It’s All Love,” in 2021.
Her biggest role to date is of course in “Wednesday,” which broke records and even beat out “Stranger Things” as one of the most streamed English language shows on the platform, racking up over 341.2 million hours of viewing worldwide, according to Netflix.
It’s not publicly known what Ortega has earned for “Wednesday,” other actors for popular Netflix shows have earned more than $100,000 per episode in the past, with various members of the cast of “13 Reasons Why” inking deals for raises to $135,000-$200,000 their third season, which was a huge bump from their starting salaries in the show’s first season.
As for what’s next for Ortega, fans will see her in the 2023 release of “Scream VI,” and should “Wednesday” be picked up for a second season, she will reprise the role.
