Because her daughter was born without a womb, a grandma gave birth to her own granddaughter and stated she would do it again. Emma Miles, 55, of Wales, appeared on Monday’s This Morning with her daughter Tracey Smith, 31, and the baby she gave birth to on January 16th of this year, Evie Siân Emma Smith. After being diagnosed with Mᴀʏᴇʀ-Rᴏᴋɪᴛᴀɴsᴋʏ-Kᴜ̈sᴛᴇʀ-Hᴀᴜsᴇʀ Sʏɴᴅʀᴏᴍᴇ, Tracey believed she would never be able to have a child of her own (MRKH). But her mother stepped in, and although being 53 at the time of the pregnancy, she consented to be a surrogate for her daughter and gave birth to a healthy girl named Evie, who weighed 7lbs 7oz and was born through C-section. She and her now-husband Adam began looking into surrogacy a few years ago: ‘I believed it would never happen, and my husband recommended looking into surrogacy, but it costs thousands of dollars.’
‘Do you think you’d do it again?’ Ruth Langsford, the show’s host, questioned Emma.
