90,000 tickets of Blackpink’s concert in Taiwan’s Kaohsiung city (China) were sold out within just 4 minutes of opening.
On January 12, ETtoday reported that at the end of last year, Blackpink announced that one of the selected locations for the group’s Asia tour was the city of Kaohsiung in Taiwan, China.

The concert scheduled for March 18, 2023 quickly sold out. Due to the increased demand of the audience, YG Entertainment recently added 4 more concerts in Asia, of which, Kaohsiung got an extra day on March 19.
According to ticket issuer Live Nation Taiwan, up to 120,000 people lined up online at noon on January 12 to compete for tickets to Blackpink’s concert. Tickets for the show on March 19 were sold out in about 4 minutes of opening.
Before that, Blackpink’s first show in Kaohsiung “sold out” within 1 minute when it went on sale in November 2022.
In total, 90,000 tickets for Blackpink’s 2 concerts in Kaohsiung were sold out.
Blackpink broke the record of 80,000 tickets for two concerts by Coldplay in 2017, becoming the foreign artist to sell the most tickets for an outdoor concert in Kaohsiung.
The Born Pink concert in Taiwan will be held at the Kaohsiung National Stadium in two days from 18-19 March. This performance marks Blackpink’s return in Taiwan after 4 years.
According to ETtoday, even though the concert is still 2 months away, the hotel rooms in the area have already been booked by fans.

Not only Taiwan was added 1 day, Macao (China) which did not have a schedule on the world tour map Born Pink has now added 2 days 20-21.
Thus, Blackpink will have a total of 7 concerts in China, including 3 days in Hong Kong, 2 days in Taiwan and 2 days in Macao.
According to Touring Data, Blackpink’s Born Pink tour is aiming for a revenue of 200 million USD (about 4.6 trillion VND), with more than 1.1 million tickets sold in 53 shows, after the group added additional shows in Kaohsiung, Singapore and Macau.
Particularly in Asia, the total number of Blackpink’s concerts has been increased to 24 and may continue to add more in the near future. Blackpink set a sales target of $102-107 million in Asia this year.
