Anne Hathaway was spotted working on the New York City set of the upcoming period drama Armageddon Time on Thursday.
The 38-year-old performer appeared downcast as she wiped her tears during the filming of a funeral scene, and she was later seen being escorted around the production area by her costar, Jeremy Strong.
The forthcoming feature has been in the works ever since 2019, and it currently does not have a set release date.

Hathaway was costumed in an all-black ensemble that included a sizable overcoat that obscured her impressive physique.
The performer also sported a set of matching leggings and a pair of high-heeled leather shoes.
The Academy Award-winning actress kept a small purse slung over her left arm and rocked a pair of red-tinted sunglasses.
Much of her lovely brunette hair was tied back and kept underneath a shawl.

Strong, 42, opted for a black suit that was offset by a stark white shirt and a patterned tie during filming.
Development on Armageddon Time was initially announced in 2019, when it was revealed that director James Gray would be writing and directing the feature.
The film will be centered on the filmmaker’s experience at the Kew-Forest School in Queens, New York, where former president Donald Trump was an alumnus.
Producer Rodrigo Teixeira previously spoke to Variety and briefly spoke about the inspiration behind the semi-autobiographical film.

‘It’s a personal story for James. You have the whole world of the Trumps dealing with that school and the students who go to that school,’ he said.
Teixeira added, ‘James is back in the independent world with this film.’
Cate Blanchett was previously added to the cast of the project, and she was set to portray the former president’s sister.
Other performers, such as Robert De Niro, Oscar Isaac and Donald Sutherland later became attached to the flick.

Production on the film initially began last month, with New Jersey serving as an initial filming location.
It was revealed that same month that both Strong and Anthony Hopkins had joined the cast of the movie.
It was also made known to the public that De Niro, Isaac, Sutherland and Blanchett had exited the project.
Armageddon Time currently does not have a scheduled release date.
