Petr Yan talked about his loss to ‘Suga’ and claimed that he did not lose the fight. He said, “I don’t think I lost the fight one-on-one.” He added, “I understand (people) may think I was upset for a long time. But my time is passing by.” Petr Yan acknowledges the fact that he doesn’t have the time to be upset. He said, “I need to either act or remain inactive. So I decided to act, and that is to fight.”
Petr Yan was asked if he had made any changes to make sure that he avoids the judgemental errors by UFC judges. He said, “Every fight is different in its own way, unpredictable. So you definitely need to make some tactical changes.” ‘No Mercy’ believes that judges play no part when fighters go out to find inside the octagon. “In general, you probably don’t need the judges when you go out to fight. You need to try as confidently as possible what you want to do,” said Petr Yan.
Petr Yan will be hoping to break the losing streak with a win against Merab Dvalishvili in his upcoming fight at the upcoming UFC Vegas 71 on March 11. He will be fighting in the main event of the evening and would look forward to getting back into the title contention.
