Each birth for Monet is different, and each one she has attended is a special experience for her.

In a recent post, she published photos of a newborn who weighed almost five kilograms. In her post, the photographer wrote:

“When you almost give birth to a baby who is almost five kilos, standing up in the hospital.

Childbirth remains one of my favorite subjects to photograph. It shows what our bodies are capable of.

This was a birth that would normally take place at home. We went to one of the local Denver hospitals that provides excellent support for all home births in the area. Being able to give birth in a hospital that respects your choices can make all the difference if the need for a transfer arises.
