Graham Potter’s Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Leeds United and the players have been put through their paces in training at Cobham
Chelsea have not won a game since their 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace in January as pressure continues to build on Graham Potter. The Blues have won just twice in their last 16 games in all competitions and are in desperate need of three points as Potter faces a crucial week that could save his job at Stamford Bridge.
The west London outfit will have had a full week of training ahead of the clash against a rejuvenated Leeds side following their 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. Thiago Silva is set for a number of weeks on the sidelines after damaging ligaments in his knee before being substituted in the first half against Spurs on Sunday.
Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali remain in support of Potter – for now – but should the Blues suffer defeat against Leeds and Borussia Dortmund in their next two games, the owners’ resolve will be tested significantly. The 47-year-old head coach has his work cut out to find some momentum from his squad, but has been boosted by the return of some key players ahead of this weekend’s match against Leeds.
Here’s the best of the action from what we spotted at the team’s Cobham training ground, including Christian Pulisic and N’Golo Kante both being in good spirits as well as Mateo Kovacic’s timely reminder for Potter.
