The conversation turns into a heated debate every time the name of Henry Cavill, Black Adam, James Gunn, and Gal Gadot is said in the same sentence. With promises to return Henry Cavill to the role of Superman in the newly made DCU, the people felt betrayed. Upon the announcement that Henry Cavill wasn’t “fired” but simply “never re-hired”, the people lost it at DC again.
People see the same thing happening with DC’s Gal Gadot in the role of Wonder Woman as Wonder Woman 3 gets a cancelation. In a bid to pull audiences to the theaters, fans speculate that the Israeli actor’s cameo in the upcoming Shazam! Fury of the Gods is also a ruse to earn more money.

We’ve seen it happen before. We’ve known that DC is capable of pulling off another Henry Cavill-esque cameo. Well…that is exactly what the people fear for Gal Gadot’s role as Wonder Woman. After the takeover of the DC Studios by co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, the first thing that they did was announce the departure of Henry Cavill from the role of Superman.

After days of his cameo in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, the heartbreaking news was announced as the people rushed to redo the decision. With the recent cancellation of director Patty Jenkin’s and actress Gal Gadot’s upcoming Wonder Woman 3, fans fear the same fate for the princess of Themyscira.
In the recently released trailer for Zachary Levi’s upcoming Shazam! Fury of the Gods, there were some scenes that showcased a part of what appears to be Wonder Woman. From her iconic bulletproof waistbands, people alleged that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will most likely have a role to play in the movie (or at least a cameo).

And hence comes the calamity, with a fear of history repeating itself, the Red Notice actor may find herself on the closed doors of DC when they simply “never hire” her again. Although DC may have to think twice before pulling such a move, it doesn’t seem that James Gunn tends to mind too much. It has also been reported that Gal Gadot’s cameo from the upcoming Ezra Miller’s The Flash has been allegedly removed following the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3.
As of now, all of this remains speculation as fans fear the tricks used by DC Studios. For the horrific misbranding of Henry Cavill’s image, some fans are also considering suing the company for “false advertisement”.
With Zachary Levi already under the spotlight for his controversial takes on Zack Snyder and other stuff, director David F. Sandberg has found himself in a tough spot. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is currently slated for a release date of 17th March 2023 in theaters across the world.
