While Cindy Hayes was out with her family on a boat ride, she spotted something moving up and down in the lake. As soon as she reached closer to the object in the water, she was shocked to find an Osprey bird.
The kind woman helped the drowning bird and decided to use the oar as a lifeboat to save the bird, drenched in water. She extended her arms out, and the bird gratefully perched onto the oar.
The innocent bird would have drowned if someone hadn’t come along as a savior. Ospreys dive into water sources to catch fish. However, this water-soaked bird was obviously having a bad day.
The brave yet kind woman kept her face down and held the oar steady. She did not move at all as she did not want to frighten the bird. His family told Cindy that the bird should take off as he dried out.
They thought that the bird probably got stuck because of a dive gone wrong. However, Cindy kept her head down without moving while everyone spoke. Finally, they took the boat to the shoreline, but the bird refused to move.
One of the other women onboard asked if touching the bird slightly to get him off the oar would help. Cindy was already in pain by then as the bird’s claw was around her thumb. Nevertheless, the woman had remained calm even when he had accidentally cut her finger.
As the bird still did not move, one of the family members came close to Cindy and gave the bird a slight nudge while holding a slipper in one hand. They just wanted the bird to fly off as he was close to the land now. The fully recovered bird was now off for another adventure as he flew away.
