The life of Fernando Torres after leaving football: he is a successful coach and has his own chain of gyms

Spanish soccer legend Fernando Torres retired in 2019 from professional soccer. After a successful career, going through several clubs, such as Atlético de Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Milan , he ended up retiring from the Japanese team, Sagan Tosu, at the age of 35.

Torres never had among his future plans to be a coach. After retiring from him, his new path in football  pointed more to the general or sports direction of a club than to the benches. By surprise, one morning he told Bahía, his representative agency, that he wanted to sign up for coaching courses at the Spanish Football Federation.

Since his retirement, the striker from Fuenlabrada has been working to become a successful coach and, why not, become the first team bench of the club of his life in the future. In 2018 Fernando said goodbye to the mattress fans, promising that he would return to the club that has seen him grow and that “it was not goodbye, but see you soon” .

Fulfilling his promise, Torres began his coaching career at the mattress club’s academy, as assistant coach, but soon became the number one manager in Juvenil A. He has been in charge of the team for two seasons and has achieved good performance, competing in the League with Real Madrid and reaching advanced stages of the Youth League.

On the other hand, the footballer has a chain of gyms in Madrid for many years ” Nine Fitness “, which has not stopped growing in recent years. It is focused on group activities with different activities such as boxing, functional training and work to balance body and mind. According to Torres’ company, it is the “training of the future”, a “new concept that revolutionizes everything” .

In addition, it participated so that the  Podoactiva  company opened its facilities in Retiro and invested in the prestigious Lalala Group to open the La Mamona Chamberí restaurant on Ponzano street, a reference place for leisure in Madrid.
