Former player Adrian Mierzejewski of Al Nassr mocked Cristiano Ronaldo after CR7’s excited celebration in the match against Al-Raed on April 29.
Witnessing the Portuguese superstar happily performing the familiar “siu” celebration after the opening goal in the 4th minute of the match against Al-Raed, Mierzejewski wrote on his personal page: “The moment you score in net Al-Raed and won 4-0 but before that lost the Super Cup, got knocked out in the semi-finals of the National Cup and lost the derby against Al Hilal, which means 99% of you have no chance of winning the national championship.”
Immediately, fans criticized Mierzejewski for mocking Ronaldo. One user wrote: “CR7 contributed 12 goals in the national championship, more than any other teammate. He was also the man of the match against Al Wehda and Al Hilal of Al Nassr. If you want to criticize, do it with the team.” Another fan said: “So every time Ronaldo scores, he is not allowed to celebrate? The above criticism is a joke.”
Mierzejewski, 36, spent two years with Al Nassr between 2014-2016, scoring 18 goals in 43 games. The Polish player is playing for Henan in the Chinese league (Super League).
Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is in danger of empty-handed in the 2022/23 season. This team was eliminated from the King’s Cup of Saudi Arabia by a 0-1 defeat to Al Wehda. In the national championship, Al Nassr is 3 points behind the leader of the group Al Ittihad but has played one more game. Since joining the team, CR7 has scored 12 goals in 12 appearances.
On May 1, El Nacional said Ronaldo was no longer happy at Al Nassr. This Spanish newspaper also revealed that Ronaldo has plans to return to Europe. The destination is said to be the old team Real Madrid.
