The NBA world and basketball fans in general have been waiting to find out where Bronny James would go for the next step in his career.
The NBA G League, teams abroad, and college were all options for Bronny James and he finally announced his decision on Saturday. After attending high school at Sierra Canyon, Bronny announced that he will attend the University of Southern California. After the Lakers beat the Warriors, LeBron James had a lot to say about it.
“First of all, congratulations to my son on his next journey and picking a great university in USC,” LeBron James said. “I’m really proud of him. This is an incredible thing, I was telling Mike after the game. Unless it was one of my great-grandmothers or great-grandfathers that was way before my time, to my knowledge, this is the first one out of the James Gang to go to college.
“Obviously, his dad didn’t go, his mom didn’t go to college. I think my mom stepped on campus a bit, junior college or something but, she had my lil a** running around so she couldn’t spend much time in the classroom… So it’s very very exciting, very humbling, and a great moment for our family. It’s super cool, he’s a great kid, USC’s getting a great kid.”
