The epic battle between a lion and a crocodile over an antelope carcass was captured on camera in riveting footage.

By diving into the river’s shallows, where the crocodile had the home-field advantage, the lion took a significant ʀɪsᴋ. Even though they have a reputation for being fierce, lions may nevertheless be bitten by crocodiles and suffer serious injuries. With only one ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛal slip, the animal may suffocate the enormous cat by holding it in its teeth beneath the water’s surface.

It consumes its prey by biting off big pieces of ᴍᴇᴀᴛ and swallowing them whole.
