Manchester City were able to win their fifth Premier League title in six years before they even faced Chelsea as Arsenal suffered another defeat on Saturday, handing their rivals the trophy

The Gunners capped off a woeful end to their season with a 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Mikel Arteta’s side led the table by eight points at the beginning of April, with many expecting the north Londoners to win their first Premier League trophy in 19 years.
But a dismal run, starting with draws against Liverpool and West Ham, saw the Gunners win just two games from their last eight matches.
City, in turn, only grew stronger as the season’s conclusion drew closer, relying on their vast experience to go 14 games unbeaten and clinch a third successive league title.
Despite City’s obvious strengths, many found Arsenal’s rapid deterioration to be unforgivable and a sign that they are bottlers of the highest order. And one City fan showed exactly what he thought of the Gunners during his side’s title celebrations on Saturday afternoon.

The Cityzens descended on the area surrounding the Etihad Stadium in their limited numbers as Pep Guardiola’s side were officially named champions. There, a supporter was pictured holding up a literal empty bottle of water with ‘Arsenal’ written on it.
Meanwhile, City’s stars celebrated the triumph in their own way. The squad were seen going wild in footage posted on social media by the club as the final whistle blew at the City Ground.
Man City are Premier League champions once more
The players watched the Arsenal game unfold together, before erupting into celebration as their title was confirmed. Jack Grealish was in the thick of the action as the players mobbed each other and jumped up and down in unison.
The Chelsea game, City’s final home fixture of the season, will now be a celebration for players and fans.
