On Earth, there are many odd creatures, both on land and underwater. You must always be alert since you never know where they will appear. Recently, a guy claims to have been assaulted by a blood-sucking “alien” sea creature infamous for digging through its prey with its tongue.
The sea lamprey, popularly known as the “Vampire Fish,” is one of the world’s most horrifying fish. It is found primarily in the Northern Hemisphere. “I spent most of my childhood catching fish and saw more than my fair share of Sea Lamprey,” a man named John Lewis said in response to a CBC video.
“Despite the fact that they do not travel across land, I had one started chasing me roughly 1-2 feet out of the water onto a shore… I was dipping in the water when it pursued me. “Awful creatures!” Lewis added.
People who have seen these fish have mistaken them for aliens since they appear to be from another planet, yet they are actually from Earth. The digestive tracts of sea lampreys shut down while they concentrate on spawning, according to the head of communications for the US and Canadian Great Lakes Fishery Commission.
“Even if they wished to, they couldn’t feed. When they attain the spawning phase, they only have one goal in mind: to find a mate and effectively spawn.”
