Scottie Scheffler only behind Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after eye-watering FedEx Cup payout

Scottie Scheffler’s incredible 2024 PGA Tour season was capped off on Sunday, after the world No. 1 landed the first FedEx Cup title of his career by winning the Tour Championship

Scottie Scheffler of the United States celebrates during the trophy ceremony after winning the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club on September 01, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Scottie Scheffler’s remarkable 2024 PGA Tour campaign has seen him become the third biggest earner in Tour history, despite still being just 28 years old.

Scheffler has been head and shoulders above his rivals on this campaign, leading the FedEx Cup standings for the large majority of the campaign, before being crowned champion with victory at the Tour Championship. The win was his seventh on the PGA Tour this campaign, alongside the Masters and Players Championship, as well as a group of Signature Events.

With titles has of course come huge prize money payouts too, no bigger than Sunday’s victory, which saw him take home a whopping £19 million ($25m) for winning the season-long race.
