Erik ten Hag and his staff will also be preparing for the fast-approaching January transfer window, when United will be looking to add a number of new signings.
With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.
Morata links
United are said to be considering a move for Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils are considering signing Morata on a loan deal until the end of the season, needing to replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the front line. Morata returned to Atletico thi sseason after spending the last two seasons on loan with Juventus, and he has done well so far this term, both for club and country.
It’s claimed United could now make an approach, though, it’s not clear how Atletico will receive the offer, given they have already sent out Matheus Cunha, and they would prefer to offload Joao Felix.
Terrier race
United are said to be upping their chase of Rennes striker Martin Terrier.
According to Media Foot, the Red Devils are rivalling Tottenham to pull off the deal for the France international, who has scored 11 goals in 20 games so far this season, adding to 21 goals last term. Terrier was unlucky not to make the France World Cup squad this winter after coming under serious consideration.
It’s not clear how much United would need to pay, but Rennes will surely up the price if there is serious interest from two Premier League clubs in January.
