In 2015, animals that didn’t have a home moved into the barn.
The cat and the dog went to a village near Novo-Talitsa and lived in a cowshed.
The workers made the new wards feel very welcome.
Dailu’s cat and dog were fed. The animals were sad, though, because the barn was literally falling apart. Built in the 1940s, it was very old. The same thing was true of the organization that owned this cowshed. The business closed in the same year. People lost their jobs and left pets all by themselves. Only former members of the group did not let them starve. They would sometimes go see Barbos and Lusu and bring them different treats. This happened very rarely, and most of the time, people couldn’t get in. Saring Reorle also made a soup for his friends. They all sat down on it and hugged each other. Even though many people knew about this situation quickly, they were not in a hurry to give a house.
The poor cat and dog were used to a good life, so they were surprised by some changes.
Now, they had to find their own food and buy clothes from the market. They learned to catch rats and mice for food, but fighting the sold was much harder. On the eve of the New Year, the animals had to pass another test. The roof of the pigsty had to be fixed. The cat and dog were outside when the solstice happened.
Thanks to this incident, they were able to stay alive. But the animals had to move out of their old home and into an old wooden building. If the swinshed was at least a little bit insulated, the old barn would not have been affected at all by the sale. But the animals had nowhere else to go. Kind Reorle brought bedding for the animals to make them a little more comfortable.
How did this bedding protect against the cold? Lusu and Barbos are said to have lived for three years in some versions of the story. Lusu got sick at the end of 2018 and got worse.
