Agata Ribeiro, a newborn infant who was born via C-section in Brazil, was captured on camera embracing her mother and kissing her on the cheek just seconds afterward. In Brazil’s Santa Monica Hospital, gata Ribeiro Coêlho was delivered via C-section on April 5.
The bond between a mother and child can be difficult to put into words. So medics managed to capture the instant connection on camera when a baby clung to her mother’s face in an emotional embrace following her birth.
Brenda, 24, said: “It was an incredible moment when my daughter hugged me for the first time.” The administrative assistant added: “The medical team were great and were all really surprised that she acted this way, they couldn’t believe how affectionate she was with me. “Ágata is now three months old and is doing great, every day is a surprise and I love being a mother.”
It is not the first time a baby has been filmed clinging to its mum immediately after its birth. The cute footage showed the tiny newborn grabbing hold of its mum’s face, nuzzling against her cheek and screaming whenever a nurse tries to remove it. Three years ago, adorable footage of a baby refusing to let go of its exhausted mother moments after being born touched the hearts of millions worldwide.
