Not many people can wear a PVC catsuit and look as good as Anne, but the actress admits that she still feels insecure about her body shape
We’d like everybody to put down their sandwiches, hop on over to Anne Hathaway’s hotel room and give the girl a little bit of a shoulder shake. Because despite being one of those multi-talented, multi-millionaire, multi-award-nominated actress types, she’s still really insecure about the size of her hips and her legs and her arms. And probably those shoulders too.
Which is really quite silly. After all, she looks like this:
We’d like this picture more if Anne was wearing a silly hat ( Image: SplashNews)
“I still feel the stress over “Am I thin enough? Am I too thin? Is my body the right shape?” Anne told Glamour magazine.
“There’s an obsessive quality to it that I thought I would’ve grown out of by now. It’s an ongoing source of shame for me.”
It’s not really her fault though. It’sprobably our fault for taking pictures of her looking like that [see above] and posting them onto the Internet in the first place. Because nobody really wants to be snapped in a bikini. Nobody except for Helen Flanagan, anyway.
And Anne agrees.
“If people weren’t watching, I’d be so much more eccentric. I know it makes me sound weak, but rather than make myself happy and wear the silly hat and say, ‘Oh, I don’t care’, I just think about the ridicule you get if you have an off day.”
“I actually really don’t feel like getting made fun of,” she added. “So I put on something boring and navy and go out and try to disappear.”
And while we launch a campaign to send Anne all the silly hats in the world, she goes on to say that her love life has really affected her happiness in the past too.
Despite marrying fellow Actor Adam Shulman in August, Anne admits that her 2008 break up from Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri made her heart pull a sad face – especially because he was sentenced to four-and-a-half-years in prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy, shortly after their split.
‘My trust had been betrayed quite massively,’ she explains.
Glamour’s January 2013 issue will be on newsstands nationwide on December 11.
But things seem to be looking up for the 30-year-old. After all, not only can she probably wash her hair in less than three minutes, but she’s discovered that she doesn’t have to be perfect all the time.
