A farmer was so sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd when he saw one of his calves born with a third eye in the middle of its head. The calf was still healthy after it was born with three eyes on a farm in Gwynedd, North Wales. Due to one eye being higher than the other, it has earned the nickname “Isaiah” on social media.
Jake Jones, a 32-year-old beef farmer, claimed to have never witnessed anything like it there before. While the vet was testing it for TB, he asked her what it was and she said that it was an eye.
Malan Hughes, a veterinarian from Pwllheli, uploaded a photo of the calf on Facebook, writing that she “could not believe what we noticed today” and requesting feedback from anyone else who may have witnessed soᴍᴇᴛʜing similar.
Having a calf or any animal with this handicap is highly rare, according to Hughes, and added that she had never heard of or seen one before. “The calf is in wonderful health. When we discovered the problem, we were working with the herd on other tasks. He’ll undoubtedly lead a typical life for an animal of his kind.” The vet said.
In 2014, locals in Tamil Nadu came to see Shiva, a three-eyed calf named after the Hindu god who is shown as having a third eye.
