I believe the Kuma’s flashback is taking place in God Valley. In his Chapter 1074 flashback, we see a young Kuma crying; Kuma has seemingly ran away from somewhere. We see 2 silhouettes find Kuma, claiming they will all receive punishment if he isn’t found. I believe these two are slaves that will be punished for Kuma running away. They have a rough appearance and are missing teeth. In the photo below, Oda wants us to believe these two things are connected which is why one follows the other image directly. Here is the image. If you…

Many have brought up the likelihood that  is the one who’s betraying the Strawhats/Vegapunk/Satellites, and between his cryptic nature and strange “flip-flopping” answer to why the cameras aren’t working, I think that’s enough to make him a top candidate. But what really seals the deal for me is a detail in one of the many beautifully illustrated panels. In particular, this one: On my first run through (and re-run) I noticed Usopp’s expression, particularly one of concentration and maybe nervousness as he looks behind Shaka at his panel. He’s putting on his goggles which further suggests he’s…

Monkey D. Garp is an extremely famous and powerful Marine vice admiral. Garp is one of the strongest characters in One Piece. In his youth, he fought on par against the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, to the point that he was considered his one true rival. Garp’s reputation and accomplishments made him a legend among the Marines. Chapter 1071 of One Piece shows that Garp will soon have the chance to prove if he is still as strong as he was in his youth. We all know that Koby, a young Marine captain who has been…

Joy Boy was a man from the surface world who played an important role in the history of Fish-Man Island. At some point, he came across an island, which would later be named Laugh Tale by Gol D. Roger, and left behind a treasure. It has been implied that Joy Boy was an extremely relevant figure of the Void Century, with Gol D. Roger declaring that he wished the two could have lived during the same period upon learning the true history on Laugh Tale. So it stands to reason that the Great Kingdom, Joy Boy, the…

Over a month ago I made a post about Shimotsuki Ushimaru’s relation to Zoro. I made a claim that the nature of Ushimaru’s and Zoro’s relationship is not that of a father and son but rather a grandfather and grandson. Fast forward to present and we got an answer to this from the SBS 101 where Oda himself confirms that Ushimaru indeed is NOT the father. Now, many have taken this revelation as proof of Zoro having no ties to the Shimotsuki Family, but I disagree. In fact, this new info actually strengthens the theory. Let’s see what Oda said in the SBS 101 and break it down part by…

Thanks to Redon! One Piece Chapter 1074 is tiitled “Mark 3”. On the cover page, we see Queen, Judge and Cesar fighting among each other. The chapter starts with CP0 agents that stayed in “Fabriophase”. They are being attacked by 50 units of a new Pacifista model called “Mark III”. New Pacifistas have sunglasses and wear different uniforms, they can also use a technique called “Bubble Shield” (slime-like shield developed by Vegapunk). CP0 agents says that new Pacifistas are far superior to the prototypes Marine used in Marineford’s “Paramount War”. Sentoumaru is the one that released the new…

The “Will of D.” is a mystery surrounding some people who have the initial “D.” in their names. Let’s see the possible meanings of D.: 1 – Dawn It’s the most obvious one, a lot of people already thought about it since the first chapter of One Piece is called Romance dawn, and a lot of character have mentioned the “Dawn of the world” as the big event that the Straw Hats are supposed to bring in to the world. Kozuki Toki said in her prophecy that someone will bring a new dawn. 2 – Devil …

I think Bonney is a clone. Bonney stated that she was in Egghead when she was a kid and when it was still a normal lab and when Vegapunk was still only 1 person, so this might be implying that she was born on Egghead. We know she is Kuma’s daughter (adopted/biological) and he has been heavily involved with Dr Vegapunk. Bonney could have met Kuma in the lab. She lived with him since then, as form of protection. It explains why Bonney doesn’t have a mother and why she doesn’t even look like Kuma, not even a…

Oda is known for pulling the bait and switch when it comes to introducing characters, and when you do it with Buckingham Stussy and Whitebeard you get the saddest love story in all of OP. We don’t even have to overcomplicate things. All Whitebeard wants is a family with Stussy and eventually he gets it and they have a son. Whitebeard promises a good future…

In Ireland, there was 2 tribes: The tribe of gods who protected Ireland from the evil gods who came from over seas to raid and kill, they were seen as pirates. But I will return to this. The evil gods were called Fomorians. Now the king of the Fomorians was Balor of the evil eye who was a wicked man who one day over heard a Druid mention a prophecy that one day the grandsons of Balor would rise up and kill him. Thus, Balor took his daughter and locked her in a tower off the coast…

This is a popular question/criticism that I hear all the time. But I think it ignores all the times there were Bounty Hunters and if you give Oda a little lee-way and consider what actions his characters would do outside of what’s directly written we might find more Bounty Hunters. First let’s list all the people under the title of Bounty Hunters: Zoro, Johnny, and Yosaku. The East Blue Group. Problem with them is they aren’t shown bounty hunting. Baroque Works: I think a lot of people forget the organization makes it money bounty hunting. Whisky Peak was…

So the official translation came out, which makes it clear that Zoro was indeed referring to Mihawk in this comment: Zoro is implying that Mihawk is even less human than a killer robot. People have been speculating that Mihawk is less human because he might be different race. However, this doesn’t make any sense. Remember that S-hawk is made with Mihawk’s DNA, so that would mean that S-hawk would also have the genes of that race. Any “inhuman” trait that Mihawk may have in terms of genetics, S-hawk would also have, therefore that can’t be the factor…

Basically, I think the Gorosei are likely to be named after Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury- the first 5 planets to be discovered. We don’t have much to go off of, but I reread all of their appearances so far and looked into their “assumed” references to get a feel for their personalities. I’ll explain my reasoning for which I think is which, in order of how strong my reasoning is. Saint Saturn – Saturn is the god of time, known in Greek as Kronos. Some translations differ, but this is likely how it applies in…

In chapter 1073, we saw one of the Gorosei (Saturn) came to Egghead with Kizaru. There’s no way Saturn would go to Egghead if he wasn’t decently strong. That got me thinking. We know that Garp and Roger fought against the Rocks Pirates on God Valley. But I just can’t imagine Garp and Roger winning against The Rocks Pirates who had Xebec, Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, Shiki, John, Ochoku and Silver Axe. These are also just the known members. Xebec wanted to kill the Celestial Dragons that were on God Valley, but why? They pose no threat…

Many are rightfully assuming that with Saint Jay Garcia Saturn arriving, he will command the Seraphim to go against the Strawhats and Vegapunk. It has been said multiple times that the elders have ultimate control, so that’s also a possibility. What has also been emphasized in this arc is both Bonney’s Devil Fruit abilities and how the Seraphim are in their infancy. In Chapter 1072, Bonney tells Vegapunk her abilities are only temporary. Bonney’s entire drive right now is to find out what happened to her dad and why. She also attacked Luffy when he went to…

Known as the Highest Authority of the World Government, the Five Elders are the rulers of the entire world with tremendous political power superior to their fellow World Nobles, second only to Im. They have complete control over all Government affiliated organizations such as Cipher Pol units, and even the Marines as they are all completely subservient to their commands. Even the orders of the Fleet Admiral of the Marines can be vetoed by their decisions. They can declare a Buster Call attack on any island that they deem a threat and can pass that authority onto lower…

This is building on another theory floating around, that Vegapunk was inspired to perform the satellite operation in much the same way he was inspired with a lot of his other “inventions”- reverse engineering records from the Ancient Kingdom. And according to this theory, this operation created the Gorosei, who are the five satellites to Imu’s Stella- splitting his/herself into secret puppet rulers. However, you might notice something off right away- where’s the sixth? Vegapunk has six, after all. Yup. Shanks is one of Imu’s partial biological clones. This is why they allowed him an audience at…

With Chapter of 1073 and the reveal of one of the Gorosei’s name after a decade or longer this really opened the floodgates. Saint Jay Garcia Saturn and this name is very intentional. The first thing I want to direct everyone’s attention to is Ohara’s model of the solar system. I think it’s very intentionally shown to be earth enlarged with 5 planets in orbit. These 5 planets to represent the Gorosei with a planet naming scheme. So going along with this we can hypothesize that Im will be some type of representation of Earth or Mother…

Ever Since their reveal I’ve always thought the Gorosei were strong combatants. Their design just screams experience but with them just sitting in Mariejois the whole time many people thought they would just be some old people in charge. With the recent chapter and the reveal that the Gorosei will take a more hands on approach in the story I think its finally time to speculate on their strength/abilities. The only one that has a direct example of how they fight is the second one. Many believe to be the wielder of the Shodai Kitetsu, a supreme…
