Seraphim are new Pacifista units developed by the Marines’ Special Science Group with the intention of replacing the Seven Warlords of the Sea as one of the Three Great Powers. They are living weapons built in the childhood likenesses of the former members of the Warlords, but with the traits of the Lunarian Tribe. We’ve seen four Seraphim, and they seem to be all that there are. The Jinbei Seraphim is numbered as being the 4th and appeared to have only just been completed when the Straw Hats ran into him. This suggests that there aren’t any more…

In Chapter 1072 Stussy is revealed to be a MADS-developed clone of former Rocks Pirates’ member, Miss Buckingham Stussy. Stussy is the first ever successful clone developed by MADS. Being a clone of Buckingham Stussy, Stussy is presumably identical to the original in terms of appearance. Stussy is a beautiful woman. She appears younger than her actual age, with short curly blonde hair, blue eyes, red lipstick, and red-painted fingernails. But who is she exactly? We know that Miss Buckingham Stussy is a former crew member of Rocks Pirates and traveled on the same ship with Whitebeard,…

Big Mom claimed to desire a utopia where all races and species can live in harmony, in fact Totto Land is most notable for being home to members of almost every race and tribe in the world. The known races that inhabit Totto Land are humans, fish-men, merfolk, minks, snakenecks, longarms, longlegs, dwarves, three-eyes, along with several hybrids of different races. Strangely, living objects (such as furniture, ships, food, etc.) as well as talking animals that are not clearly minks or Zoan fruit users also live in Totto Land. These living objects and talking animals are referred to as…

The meaning of “D.” “D.” is not short for something, it is a representation of the moon. Point 1: The D is a suffix to the family name In normal Japanese, there are no middle names. In One Piece, this seems to still be the case. Impact: This means that Luffy’s family name is “Monkey D.”, not “Monkey”. His name in English should be “Luffy Monkey D.”, not “Luffy D. Monkey”. Point 2: The D is not short for something When written in Japanese, the character that would be used to reference this sound in Japanese (ディ,…

In the recent chapter we learnt that Luffy has the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into, and gain the powers of, “The Sun God, Nika“. This sun god is worshiped in Skypiea, Elbaf and probably Fishman Island too. But along with God of the Sun, in Skypiea three more gods were mentioned – God of the Rain, God of the Forest and God of the Earth. So Luffy has the Sun God devil fruit. That leave us with three more Gods: Monkey D. Dragon is wildly speculated…

It was always curious to me that Oda chose to name Akainu, Sakazuki, which means Sake Cup. In One Piece, sake represents brotherhood/bonds, ones as strong as family. Luffy shared a sake cup with Ace and Sabo to cement their brotherhood, and the grand fleet did the same to establish themselves, calling it “son’s cups”, and then there’s Binks Sake which is full of meanings that tie into it. So why would Oda name the one person who took away Luffy’s brother after something that symbolizes brotherhood? I think that’s where we can read into his backstory.…

In Chapter 1000 Ace and Yamato both reference the secret dream Luffy and Roger share. This was set up as far back as Sabaody when Rayleigh told Luffy about Shanks: Since chapter 968 there’s been renewed discussion about the particular words both Luffy and Roger may have said that stood as similar to others, specifically to Shanks, as he recounted to Whitebeard. From this point of view it’s interesting to note the similarity between the following two scenes. I’m sure people have already realized the connection, but it may be worth pointing it out, if only…

Several points that make me think that Shanks is the Yonko who owns Elbaf’s island. In this theory, I will claim the points that make me think that the protector of the island of Elbaf is currently the Yonko Shanks. I – New World Territories Functioning Elbaf is the island of the Giants species in the New World. The islands of the New World we saw till now are:– Fish-Man Island, under the protection of the Straw Hat Pirates (previously under the protection of Big Mom and before that under the protection of Whitebeard).– Punk Hazard,…

Both Zoro and Sanji lead in their own very different ways, it’s a phenomenal dichotomy that Oda has to be doing on purpose. Recently I compared these two to the Guardian Angel and the Demon of the Straw Hat Pirates; and I believe that is a very good comparison. Most of Sanji’s duels begin with him protecting others. In Alabasta he fought Mr. 2 to protect Vivi. In Enies Lobby he fought Jabra to protect Usopp. In Thriller Bark he fought Absalom to protect Nami. In Punk Hazard he fought Vergo to protect Tashigi. This is a trend…

According to chapter 957, Rocks D. Xebec was one of the first people whom had a name featuring the “D.” Initial. Blackbeard is known as the one and only Marshall D. Teach. My theory is that Blackbeard is Rocks D. Xebec’s son. Blackbeard has a strong belief in fate and the dreams of men, truly taking the concept to heart. Seeing how he is 40 years old and Rocks died 38 years ago, should Rocks have been his father, his death would leave the two year old Blackbeard on his own, which would be in line with the…

One question that definitely needs to be answered eventually is why Laugh Tale is so hard to find. It can’t just be something stupid like dangerous seas or an underwater city, because then Fishmen could easily find it, or someone coating their ship could easily find it. Since the official romanization of Raftel was revealed to be “Laugh Tale”, we immediately notice that the last line of Binks’ Sake 果てなし あてなし 笑い話 roughly translates to ‘Endless Address Laughing Story’. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that “Laughing Story” (Laugh Tale) is the last word in Binks’ Sake. I believe…

A Poneglyph in Arabasta tells you its location in Wano. Note: Arabasta has been protecting the Poneglyph, Cobra wonders why it’s hidden if it…

Yes, you read that right, yes I’m talking about Buggy, and no I’m not joking. Since his childhood as an apprentice on Roger’s ship, Buggy has been obsessed with finding treasure. While he loves riches, the treasure that Buggy seems to desire most is the one that belonged to Captain John, and he’s been seeking out this treasure for a long time. Early in the story, we see Buggy and his crew searching a skull-shaped island for Captain John’s treasure. Buggy seemed very sure that this was the loot’s location, although he ended up being wrong. 10 Amazing Facts About Eiichiro Oda 1- Let’s begin with the basics, Eiichiro Oda was born on January 1, 1975 in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan. Let’s start with the Monster Trio. We had an entire arc primarily focused upon Sanji, and a good portion of it was dominated by his interactions and relationship with Pudding. Starting out as necessity, only for him to know her better and vice versa and whatnot. They (un)officially married, and parted on terms which seemed like Sanji might just return to her after everything’s said and done. Looked very plausible. Then came Wano and we abandoned the usual trend of Luffy running into the “Princess” and had Zoro save her instead. Nothing indicates there are unrequited feelings…

After the Chapter 1047 people started talking about how Roger was powerful since he was able to do what no one thought possible -he conquered the Grand Line- without even needing a Devil Fruit ability! According to Kaido Devil Fruit abilities cannot conquer the world, only Haki could as it reigns supreme. This only convinced me that Garp is the most impressive among the top tiers. Roger was a swordsman using the Supreme Grade Sword “Ace”, one of the most powerful weapons ever created. But Garp relied only on his fists! Before the Roger vs Whitebeard…

There are overall tons of points which makes me think that the entire story of One Piece is going to roughly play out as the Skypiea Arc did. – There are the Ancient Kingdoms forces (Shandians) – There is Im = God Enel – There are people (Skypieans) who are “good” but are actually controlled/brainwashed by God (Celestial Dragons/God Enel) – There is the Ark Maxim of Enel (which is similar to Ark Noah) – There is a promise from 400 years back that gets fulfilled (similar to JoyBoy’s promise from 900 years back?) –…

Pirates have long been a part of the way of life in the One Piece world. The oldest known group of pirates mentioned were the ones under Dorry and Brogy from more than 100 years ago. However, despite pirates existing back then, none of them were known to be noteworthy enough to shake the world. More than 40 years ago, the Rocks Pirates led by Rocks D. Xebec were extremely prominent and defined an era that lasted until Gol D. Roger’s rise to prominence as the Pirate King. All that changed with the arrival of the great…
